Alaska Republican Gov. Sean Parnell could face several cash-flush opponents as he looks to win a full term.
The Anchorage Daily News reports that Parnell, who assumed office after Sarah Palin's resignation in July, still leads in total fundraising. Former state House Majority Leader Ralph Samuels, who just announced his candidacy in December, raised $178,584 through the end of January. Parnell raised $215,000, but had been fundraising longer than Samuels. Parnell ended with just $125,175, less than Samuels is expected to report.

A third candidate, Anchorage attorney Bill Walker put $110,000 of his own money into his campaign and pulled in about that same number from his contributors, ending the reporting period with just over $102,000 in the bank.
On the Democratic side, Ethan Berkowitz, who lost a 2008 House race to Rep. Don Young, raised $128,000, including $10,000 in self-funding, leaving him with $109,000 cash on hand.
