MSNBC host Rachel Maddow took out a full-page advertisement in Friday's Boston Globe to rip Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown for suggesting she might run against him in 2012.
Earlier this week, Brown warned supporters that Maddow might be gearing up to run against him in his first reelection fight.
"I'm not running against Scott Brown. I never said I was running against Scott Brown. The Massachusetts Democratic Party never asked me to run against Scott Brown," she writes in the ad. "Maybe this will make him think twice the next time he wants to smear one of his constituents to raise money out of state."

Since Brown's campaign first sent out the fundraising message, Maddow has repeatedly denied any interest in the race. In an interview with the Boston Herald, Maddow rejected suggestions that Democrats floated her as a possible Senate candidate before Brown did.
"Scott Brown made this up in order to make money off my name and likeness, and I think he should stop," she told the paper.
